Presentation Deck Design
Harlem Renaissance Presentation
The following presentation is my Harlem Renaissance project, created to educate my classmates on my research argument: The Harlem Renaissance was the most significant movement of the 20th century to reshape cultural and social structures in the United States, driven by Black creativity, intellect, and individualism that defied racial stereotypes. During the design process, I aimed to develop a bold, reflective aesthetic inspired by the vintage yet vibrant atmosphere of the Harlem Renaissance. To reinforce this theme, I styled the visuals to resemble newspaper cutouts. This involved removing image backgrounds, layering text, and adjusting transparency to create a collage-like effect.

Design Option Two
My original Harlem Renaissance presentation design is featured below. I approached the project from a different lens, focusing on the theme: During the Harlem Renaissance, African Americans expressed their joy and newfound freedom to the American public and sought to uplift the Black community through their artistic creations.

This presentation showcases the concepts I learned in AP Psychology, which I applied to a collaborative advertisement for headphones with unique features. After researching common headphone colors and the sleek aesthetic often used by major tech companies, I chose a bold, modern, pop-inspired color scheme. Throughout the presentation slides, the product is displayed in a clean, visually streamlined way that reinforces the “brand" identity.

One Pill Can Kill
In my AP Seminar class, we were tasked with a major research project, which my group presented using the eye-catching and fear-appealing slide deck shown below. Our research focused on identifying the most effective ways to prevent the deadly drug fentanyl from circulating within the U.S. My main challenge as the designated presentation designer was limiting the word count on each slide. As you can see, each slide remains highly minimalistic while creating a chilling atmosphere meant to warn viewers and capture the true dangers of the drug through elements such as bursts of red against stark black-and-white visuals.

The slide deck showcased here is based on a group book report. We examined how All American Boys portrays the roots and consequences of police brutality through character studies, real-life statistics, and other evidence. I used colors from the U.S. flag and the book cover to create a palette that reflects the deep-rooted prejudice within the nation. The final slide, shown below, was my main focus, as my ability to cut and overlay images was limited in Google Slides.
